Visit Richardson World's Largest Corn Maze for a fun and educational fall field trip.
Our expectation is to educate through entertainment.

  • *Your students and chaperones will:
    • Be greeted at the busses upon arrival
    • Learn about different aspects of farming and agritourism
    • Enjoy fun activities such as our 50' long tube slide, 50' tall observation tower, pedal carts and room to run around
    • Eat lunch in our beautiful, wooded picnic area if you wish
    • Learn and get lost (and found again!) in our corn maze
  • * For an additional charge students will:
    • Have the opportunity to enjoy a 35 minute educational wagon ride. Each wagon
holds up to about 50 people
    • Learn about growing Christmas trees, how plants grow, agriculture and the environment
  • *While enjoying our farm, students will be able to:
    • Work on improving team building skills
    • Improve map reading skills
    • Use critical thinking skills
    • Learn interactively in our "quiz maze". (A small section of the giant maze that takes about 15 minutes to complete.) You may use our question sheets - agriculture or federal election process - or email us your questions that coordinate with current curriculum. We'll type them into our quiz maze format and email them back to you for making copies. Then, your students will use those questions to navigate the quiz maze. Please ask about this opportunity.

Prices:

  • $5.00 per student for the corn maze, picnic site and activities - teachers, chaperones and
    bus drivers are free
  • $7.00 per student for the above plus the educational wagon ride

We ask that you have your students separated into groups of 4-6 students per group for navigating the maze. This insures that each student will have a better opportunity to be a valuable contributing member. Talk to the students in advance about sharing the decision making or switching the leadership after each checkpoint. Each group should have an adult chaperone.

Please remember to have your students separated into groups of 4-6 students for navigating the maze before they arrive. Talk to the students in advance about sharing the decision making and switching the leadership role after each checkpoint to insure that each student will have the opportunity to be a valuable contributing member. Each group should have an adult chaperone.

Most kids get thirsty while visiting the farm and their lunch drink is often not enough. Students may bring their own water or beverage, or we have water ($1) and soft drinks ($1.50) available in vending machines.

Remind students to dress for the weather. The temperature at the farm may feel cooler than it is in your town. Students will have picnic tables where they can drop extra coats or sweatshirts if they become too warm. If we have been experiencing rain, the trails may be muddy and older shoes may be appropriate.

Thank you for choosing Richardson Corn Maze.

We hope your students will remember this as a fun learning experience for a long time to come.
